How it all began

Our Story

MilkAfric’s story is a story of belief, resilience, and renewal.

MilkAfric began with a bold idea, grounded in the simple, ambitious belief that Africa can produce world‑class milk by combining global standards and innovation with African ingenuity and local talent. More than a decade ago, we proved this by building a modern dairy from undeveloped bushland in Lobatse, Botswana, turning vision into a fully operational, sustainable enterprise.

We transformed undeveloped bushland into a fully operational commercial dairy, the first of its kind, a biosecurity compartmentalized dairy with a rotary milking parlor in Botswana.

The setbacks we faced did not end our dream; instead, they taught us resilience and refined our vision. Those challenges strengthened our resolve, sharpened our expertise, and shaped a clearer, more disciplined model for African dairy development.

Today, MilkAfric is entering a new chapter. Drawing on decades of practical experience in dairy farming, herd management, infrastructure, and agricultural leadership, we are building integrated ecosystems across the continent. Each MilkAfric project is designed to strengthen food security, create skilled jobs, develop world-class herds, and empower local communities through sustainable economic growth.

By redeveloping dormant dairy assets and raw dairy projects, we are creating a modern model for African dairy farming that integrates advanced production systems, renewable energy, and public-private collaboration. Ultimately, our success is measured not only by the liters of milk we produce but also by the lasting opportunities and legacy we leave for future generations. Modern. Our dairies are climate‑resilient production platforms that demonstrate what African dairy can achieve.

World‑class milk. Sustainable systems. African potential……..fully realized.
